Team

The people building Investing88, and the principles behind the work.

Investing88 is a small, remote team that has been building Subnet 88 for over a year. The subnet has been live on Bittensor since April 2025, and real capital has been running through the strategy engine since December 2025. The codebase is maintained under Mobius Fund. We come from quantitative finance, distributed systems, and the Bittensor validator community, and we use the terminal every day.

Jake Fan

Founder & CEO

Built the quant engine behind Subnet 88 — the scoring system that ranks miner-submitted portfolios on risk-adjusted return using modern portfolio theory and efficient frontier allocation. He set the model the subnet runs on: miners submit allocation tables rather than model weights, each works from a fixed capital pool, and every strategy is scored daily so the strongest compound and the weakest are dropped.

CTO

Handles full-stack execution — the portal, the strategy terminal, and the dashboards that put live miner performance and fund allocations in front of users. Built so that every figure the product reports can be checked independently against the chain.

COO

A twenty-year technology veteran whose first startup client was Google. He runs operations for Investing88, turning the research engine into a product people can put capital into.

How we work

Signal over chrome. The product exists to deliver a number, a chart, or a decision, and the interface gets out of the way. We show units, periods, and ranges on every figure, because a wrong number destroys trust faster than a missing feature.

Non-custodial by default, on-chain by record. We never hold keys, and everything the portal reports can be verified independently against the network.

Our incentives are the token’s incentives. Revenue comes from AUM fees, not from selling alpha: standard 2-and-20 fund fees flow into SN88 alpha buybacks rather than to the team, and the team’s 862,645 alpha — roughly 17% of supply — is locked perpetually. We hold what we ask others to hold.
